New Porch and Rebuilding
What started as just a porch redesign and rebuild turned into a full rehab of an entire exterior wall of this 19th century house, including replacing the foundation beneath it. During the siding demolition, significant rot was found in the framing and sheathing. As we got deeper into the structure we found this wall was only sitting on a 6” deep rubble foundation. Building for the long haul, we provided temporary support for the house, hand-dug out the old foundation, and placed a new poured concrete one that reached frost depth - a foundation worthy of the work sitting above.
